What the output means
Dominant is the color covering the most pixels. Vibrant is the most saturated color found at a usable lightness. Muted is a representative low-saturation color. Average is the mean color across every sampled pixel. Each swatch in the full palette shows its coverage — the percentage of the image it represents.

What's the difference between this and the Image Color Palette Generator?
The Palette Generator gives you a quick, evenly-weighted palette. This Advanced Extractor adds dominant/vibrant/muted/average classification, coverage percentages per color, up to 20 swatches, and PNG/JSON/CSS/SVG export.
What do "vibrant" and "muted" mean?
Vibrant is the most saturated color found at a usable lightness. Muted is a common low-saturation color. Dominant is simply the color covering the most pixels, and Average is the mean color of the whole image.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Extraction runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server.
